You can now book for any away game throughout the whole season by paying an initial £5 deposit. Once we have a list of next season's prices, we'll let you know!

Away Travel Rules

Please note: It is now a legal requirement that everyone wears a seatbelt at all times whilst travelling on coaches. This means that adults and juniors MUST wear their seatbelt on the coach.

Due to increased interest in travelling on the Junior Lions’ coach, and the disappointment for some of you who missed out on away trips last season, the committee have decided to accept deposits for the majority of League away matches from the start of the season.

**To book your seat(s) you will need to see John before or after a home match, near main reception or at the blue Millwal bus.
You have the choice of paying the full amount at the time of booking, or the minimum deposit required for that match, which is non-refundable.**

A maximum of two related adults may accompany each Junior lion and no Junior Lion under the age of 13 may travel without an adult. Any Junior Lions travelling without an adult must be met at The Den on return.

Coaches will leave The Den at a set time, so if you are not on the coach at the leaving time, you will not be travelling with us!

There is always at least one Junior Lions committee member on each Junior Lions coach, and a coach cannot be run if there is no available committee member(s). Committee members are there to ensure the smooth running of the coach and to ensure the rules aren't broken.

For the majority of trips over a long distance we do try to make a stop on the journey up, but this is NOT guaranteed.

We do not have a stop on the way home, unless for exceptional circumstances, so all those travelling with us need to ensure they have enough food and drink for the journey back.
There is a toilet on board and there are sometimes hot drinks available from Kings Ferry. Hot food is not permitted on the coach. A film or other DVD/Video may be played on the coach, but this is not a guaranteed occurrance. Feel free to bring yours along to share with everyone (They must be suitable for viewing on a children's coach!).

These rules may seem harsh but they are necessary to make sure that everybody enjoys their day!

...and remember, to travel away, you need one of these:

Away from our trips on the road for a moment, last season at Millwall we welcomed the Huddersfield Town to The Den. We've received this letter from Stuart Webster, the Young Terriers co-ordinator:

"Just a quick note to thank you on behalf of the Young Terriers for a really enjoyable day at The New Den a few weeks ago, apart from the result that is! Can't ever remember racing against 4 giant testicles before but there is a first for everything I suppose.

People like us never seem to get many thanks for what we do but you run a great kids club down there and I always make a point of letting other clubs know that. We are travelling to Oldham soon and thanks to that wonderful dossier of yours we now have contact details for this and several other clubs.

Please give me a ring nearer our return fixture and we will meet up again for five a side football and a few sandwiches.

Keep up the good work

Stuart Webster"

The dossier Stuart mentions there is a handbook the Junior Lions have put together containing the contact details of all the Young Supporters co-ordinators across the country, including the team nicknames, ground location and other information. Every club we visit is given a copy of this.
