This years Junior Lions Funday was a big success………
The day ran from 11am til 2pm which gave you
all three hours of fun , plus a youth team game on top!
It was really busy with lots of people arriving to enjoy themselves.
There was a bouncy castle, which was busy from start to finish with
people bouncing all over the place. Next to that was a penalty shoot
out which had some fierce competition between strikers. There was
also a giant inflatable penalty shoot out which was popular. The
goal was massive and you had to be really quick to save the shots!
But if they were high shots it was ok because you could bounce to
reach them.
Zampa the Lion was roaming around and was signing autographs and
having his photo taken. The Millwall players were also signing autographs
and having their pictures taken with fans.
In the middle was human bar football, which was brilliant, with
teams of 5 playing each other . Unfortunately the ball kept getting
kicked out! Doh! Its really hard when you cant move very far to
kick the ball!
There was also a fire engine for everyone to explore, and uniforms
to try on. There was also a chance to use a real firemans hose and
hose down the walls and mates who were hot and bothered! Two police
horses trotted up and joined in the fun, being stroked and having
their pictures taken.
Back by popular demand was Millwall player badge making, with a
chance to make a badge of your favourite players. Also, there was
a chance to get your mobiles security protected by a local police
officer.
Thanks to a donation, there were free drinks, crisps and sweets
avaliable for everyone to enjoy and keyrings, autographs books and
pens to buy. There was also a raffle with some very cool prizes
which included a chance to be a mascot, a signed ball and many more
other excellent prizes!
The youth game kicked off whilst the funday was still running and
attracted a big crowd. Millwall were unlucky to be playing a Reading
team who were very good and ended up 3 nil down at full time. But
never the less, it was still a fantastic day!
Funday Thanks
Without the work of the Junior Lions Committee
